What we collect
To enter the giveaway we collect your name, email address, and phone number, along with the prize you won and the time you entered.
Why we collect it
To register your entry, issue and let you recover your prize code, run the grand-prize car draw, and — only if you tick the optional box — to contact you about future festival events. Declining marketing contact does not affect your entry.
Who holds your data & sponsor sharing
Karakata Society is the custodian of the attendee list. If — and only if — you tick the sponsor-sharing box when you enter, your name and email (nothing else) are shared one time after the festival with the giveaway partners, Trust Auto Sales and Vansuya, so they can contact you about their offers. Sponsors then hold their own copy under their own privacy policies; a deletion request to Karakata does not recall those copies.
How long we keep it & your rights
Karakata Society keeps its copy of your data for 90 daysafter the festival (until approximately 31 October 2026), after which it is deleted. You can request access to or deletion of Karakata’s copy at any time by contacting contact email — to be provided.
Storage
Entries are stored securely and are only accessible to authorized festival organizers. Data is hosted in the United States (West Coast); PIPEDA does not require in-country storage.
